We recently underwent a facelift of sorts to better communicate what it is we do around here… telling modern love stories. Your love stories. So, Michelle, with A Girl Named Fred, completely took over and produced our new look and we couldn’t me more happy! Her talents in design and brand concepts exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Michelle!

My first cup of coffee was actually when I was meeting with a photographer in Chicago after college and discussing me shooting with him. I never actually drank coffee before this because I never really had the desire to but it was a chilly day and Starbucks just smells so yummy all the time…so my first taste was a latte. I was hooked and spoiled from day one. Now, with two kids at home and a full time job, I’m also a bit addicted to the bean-juice. I even have my own espresso machine (thanks Dad, Merry Christmas!) So, raise a cup to my newest pleasure, this gorgeous mug. It inspires me. I like it.

We were published enough last year to win the 2012 Editors Choice Award from Two Bright Lights! I bribe my 2-year-old with M&Ms for photos

It’s true. I have to bribe my 2-year-old with M&Ms to let me take her photo. Don’t judge me. I don’t even think it would have worked had she been feeling 100% today. It’s terrible to watch your kids not feel good. Usually Sydnie has the energy of a Power Ranger, on Red Bull, but when she’s not feeling well, she wants to cuddle and watch Disney movies all day. I love Disney movies and cuddling. I think this is natures way of not breaking my heart when she’s sick. And the inspiration for our impromptu photo shoot, Johnny is three months!
