Kansas City wedding photography by Heather Brulez, offering Kansas City couples the very best in wedding photography

Getting married in Kansas City?  Who will you choose for your Kansas City wedding photography?  I want to thank you for taking the time to consider Heather Brulez Photography for this important celebration. Here are some things we think you should consider while choosing your  wedding photographer:

1. Personality

You are selecting more than just a photographer for your wedding day when choosing your Kansas City wedding photographer. You’re hiring a person that will be with you during the majority of your wedding day.  Your photographer’s personality can not only set the tone for your entire wedding day if can even impact your day altogether. With planning, engagement and album designs, you will typically work with your photographer for over a year.  It’s important to choose a Kansas City wedding photographer that you connect with and have things in common.  A perfect fit should feel exciting to produce wedding photos, as you expected.

On a wedding day, I’m calm, collected, and thinking and acting fast.  I want you to enjoy your day AND have gorgeous images and I’ve learned the little things that make that happen most efficiently, such as building up and breaking down family portraits to utilize that time the most wisely as just a tiny example.

2. Price

While price is always a factor when choosing anything, it should never be the only thing that matters when choosing your Kansas City wedding photographer.  We’ve all heard the stories from couples who made a decision for their wedding day based solely on price. It never works out in the end. When its all said and done, your wedding photography will be all you have to hold and remember your wedding day.  We understand a budget always exists but experience and photographic knowledge are priceless for couples that value photography on their wedding day.  We work extremely hard before, during and after your wedding for months, fine tuning your images and album to be perfect.  I have 10 years experience in the wedding photography industry and a degree in Photojournalism.  In my own opinion, the experience far outweighs the degree.  I can work under pressure and in all different types of lighting scenarios because I’ve been there and done that, mastered my camera and flash abilities and had time to hone my skills.  I continue to learn aspire to perfect each image.

3. Style

Understanding the style you are looking for in your Kansas City wedding photographer can go beyond wedding portfolios.  You should also discuss the style of your wedding photography in terms of how much posing you prefer on your wedding day, your timeline preferences and what changes with different decisions, and finally, professional editing styles.  I’ve already discussed my wedding day shooting style above and you can probably tell my editing style in the portfolio but I describe it as classic, timeless, natural and professional.  I like true whites, true blacks, and a film meets digital appearance so your images don’t appear over edited but also complete.  I never hand over an image that isn’t complete.  Professional post processing is included in every wedding collection.

4. How many wedding photographers?

How many Kansas City wedding photographers will be covering your wedding?  Most wedding days need two wedding photographers. While your wedding photographer is focused on working with your group and directing the day, your second wedding photographer is available to  cover moments happening simultaneously. Having two Kansas City wedding photographers at your wedding ensures your needs can be met and that nothing is missed during your wedding day.  Every wedding collection with Heather Brulez Photography includes two wedding day photographers.
