Although we started out in Lawrence, where Sara and Mike met and got engaged, we ended at Liberty Memorial with downtown Kansas City views.  I still can’t get over how sweet these two are on each other.  It was so cute to just pull back, put on the zoom lens and let these two interact.

Sara & Mike tell their story, in their own words.

“We met early in our freshman year at KU and tried the whole dating thing, only to find out neither of us were ready for anything serious. After parting ways for a couple years, our paths crossed again. This time, we settled into a friendship that grew over the course of several years. Finally, after a trip to New Orleans to watch our beloved Jayhawks compete in the Final Four, we couldn’t ignore the connection between us any longer.

Once we admitted to ourselves (and all our friends, who knew long before we did) how much we cared for each other, life together came naturally. After just a short time dating, Mike surprised Sara by recreating our first date and proposing at the very spot we first met.

We are so excited to spend our lives together and to share our special day with the most wonderful family and friends two people could ask for!”
