Mildale Farms wedding | Allie + Jordan

When you hear the phrase, timing is everything, it has so many facets.  Allie and Jordan were actually Facebook friends before they met.  Allie’s friend met Jordan and his friends during a grade school volleyball tournament.  They all became friends online but they didn’t meet face-to-face until one night, at a bar, in Aggieville. Allie was with her friends at a bar having fun at a toga party when a guy tapped her on her  shoulder. As she turned around they both recognized each other and were inseparable from that moment.

Flash forward to now, Allie just graduated from her Veterinary School at Kansas State University and finished her clinical year as she planned her wedding day.  Jordan hauls livestock, mostly swine, and spends his days traveling to barns throughout Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa.  Kim Marks with KC Cake Lady did such an amazing job with the grooms cake!  It was a semi rig and displayed on the candy favor table!

Allie and Jordan planned their wedding at the Corpus Christie Catholic Church in Lawrence and a reception at Mildale Farms.  We started at Corpus Christie for getting ready.  Their first look was traditional as Allie’s Dad walked her down the beautiful aisle.

It was an emotional first look during the wedding ceremony.

Branches and Twigs did an amazing job on these flowers.  The aroma from the bouquets filled the muggy air!  I love all the different textures.

“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13

The rain barely held off for a sparkler exit.  The lightening was all around us and it almost didn’t happen but it held off a bit for the sparkler exit that family and wedding party participated in while the guests danced.  And, before leaving we were able to capture the rain too.  I was supposed to rain all day.  I’m amazing it waited until the late evening.
