Oh my goodness. I have been working so hard to share this blog this week! Tianna and Brad’s wedding day at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, in downtown Kansas City and the downtown Marriott, was intimate and gorgeous. This Cathedral wedding is one of my favorites. With only family members looking on, they said, “I do,” in one of the most gorgeous Kansas City Catholic Cathedrals. The gold dome! I love this Cathedral and especially when I can see it in the Kansas City skyline or from a rooftop. Tianna and Brad have wonderful families and that was so apparent at their wedding.
Tianna incorporated some items from her late Father into her day and I could feel his missed presence at her wedding. He had given her some jewelry from Hawaii when she was a little girl. They were tied into her bouquet with a handkerchief. It was incredibly sweet and sentimental and one of my favorite details. I generally have a great time with the parents on the wedding day. Tianna’s Dad was memorialized in a way that I wished I had the chance to meet him as I know, with only family present, he was greatly missed.
After the wedding ceremony, we all traveled to Liberty Memorial for some fun portraits. It was an amazing evening with gorgeous light.
The wedding party and families got ready at the Downtown Marriott. With the reception around the corner at the Muehlebach Hotel, also owned by the Marriott. It was convenient for everyone. The reception was in the Muehlebach Lobby with a large wood bar, extravagant fireplace, a piano set up for Whorlow Entertainment and a dance floor.
Cheers,
