Part II  of Jill & Dallien’s wedding day begins at the beautiful Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence, Kansas where Jill and Dallien see each other for the first time on their wedding day and take some pre-wedding photos before the ceremony.  This church is full of natural light and bold architecture.  And if it looks like Jill is right at home here it’s because she sings here as well.  I love how this church sits up on a hill and due to the expected rain, it looked like a scene in a movie when you drove up the hill.

After Jill and Dallien said, “I do,” we walked outside to a downpour but it was short and sweet and let us have the rest of the beautiful day cool and dry.  We went to Mass Street for some wedding party fun and KU Campus as well.  Talk about being in the right place at the right time for a cool portrait of Jill and Dallien while a bike race was taking over KU Campus.  I know they worried this race would potentially close off campus for portraits and instead we made lemonade.  A very fun and relaxed wedding party mixed with plenty of time for portraits made this day a photographers dream.  Stay tuned for their reception at the very hip Arterraa Event Gallery later this week.
