If you’re planning a wedding this year, you’re beginning to think about an engagement session and booking your wedding photographer for your big day. There are several lists out there with the same questions but let’s be honest, you know to ask most of those. So, we’ve compiled the 10 best questions I’ve ever been asked in the last decade as a wedding and portrait photographer. I love these because they’re all about getting to know each other and a relationship is a two-way street.
10 wedding questions to ask a wedding photographer
10. What is your favorite part of a wedding day?
9. How did you get into shooting weddings?
8. What did you learn at your first wedding?
7. Who is your favorite photographer of all time and why?
6. What did you learn at your last wedding?
5. Other than weddings, what is your favorite thing to photograph?
4. What is your favorite wedding tradition?
3. What do you have your second shooter photograph or focus on?
2. Where are your favorite locations/scenes to photograph?
1. What would you do differently from the last wedding you photographed?
I especially loved that last question. I’m always educating myself and open to learning new things. I think it’s one reason we’ve been successful for so long. Never stop exploring and learning, no matter what you do!
