The Wedding Gown Photo

We love the wedding gown photo.  When I arrive on your wedding day, it’s typically while the bride and groom are still getting ready.  We immediately begin photographing candids with both the boys and the girls.  I also begin to photograph all the details.  From the wedding gown photo to the shoes, jewelry and flowers, we capture all the candids and details.  Usually, the first detail I photograph is your wedding gown.  You’re going to wear this wedding gown one time.  And you’re going to rock it!  So, together, we can make your wedding gown photo the very best.  One thing to consider is your dress hanger.  If you’re looking for something to hang your dress on beyond the dry cleaner plastic or metal hanger check out Etsy!  I love seeing unique ideas that I think you could use and I’m on Etsy often.  Here are a few ideas to make that wedding gown photo more your own and photo worthy.

Personalized Metal Hangers are perfect for that rustic wedding photo.  My favorites are from Lilafrances on Etsy.  We see these often and I even have one with me at each wedding, just in case it slips your very busy, wedding-planning mind.  Our wedding gown photo hanger simply says, “Bride.”

Another option would be a monogrammed hanger from The Pretty Pearl,  also on Etsy.  Or, if you like the wood-carved look, check out Bragging Bags on Etsy.  This would be perfect for a winery wedding!

But, searching Etsy for wedding hangers designed to your personal style is your best option.  My favorite Etsy stores are just a great starting point.  What did we do before Etsy and Pinterest?

And, sometimes a simple wooden hanger works well too.  I’ve seen these at Bed, Bath & Beyond.
