Weddings are truly my favorite part of my job. I love the story and joy-filled moments between family and friends. I love all the details from dress and shoes to reception tables. But most of all, I love and feel honored to be present and witness the love, the beginning of the generations to come, between two people. I especially enjoy getting to know a couple leading up to their wedding day; meeting, falling in love and getting engaged. Every story is different and each is so amazing to lead to spending their lives together and making the decision to honor each other, forever. And, then of course, throwing the biggest celebration of their lives is fun too!!
Jackie and Chris met while in Medical school through a mutual friend. They’re both so practical but when you get them alone together, they’re also so sweet on each other! We started their day at the Crossroads Hotel, getting ready and waiting for their Catholic wedding ceremony at Nativity in Leawood to see each other first while walking down the aisle. After their ceremony we stepped outside to get some warm sun glow portraits with just Jackie and Chris before loading back onto the bus and heading to The Guild for some wedding party fun. We then headed back to the Crossroads Hotel to get some rooftop portraits overlooking Kansas City.
After some night photos, we headed back to The Guild for a fun reception with Lost Wax on the mic and everyone else on the dance floor. Blue Bouquet had the most gorgeous floral design on every table. Garozzo’s served my favorite Italian foods and it was a fun party!
