Marie just moved from Lawrence to Olathe and taking her and Jacob to the River Market neighborhood for their engagement session was such a pleasure.  As one of my favorite spots in Kansas City, it was fun to show them around the River Market area and surrounding places to hang out or grab a bite to eat.  I loved getting to know them better and finding out how much we have in common, tulle skirts, Vespas and Carrie..  The sun made an appearance that evening as well.  Coming out of hiding at the perfect time of day, we were able to catch some gorgeous light.

When I first met Marie and Jacob, it was Football season and Jacob was wearing a Colts shirt!  So, right away, I had to give him hell.  I’m a Bears fan.  And I still hold a 2006 grudge. 😉  But, it turns out these two are pretty fantastic.  They met at K State but Marie is finishing up at KU, he’s an engineer and she studies communications.  They’re fun and obviously naturals in front of the camera!

Getting married this Saturday at St. John’s the Baptist and celebrating at Dark Horse Saloon with their wedding reception, Marie and Jacob are just days away from marital bliss and a Jamaican honeymoon.
