When I first spoke with Donya about her wedding at the Stanley in Lee’s Summit, I knew I was going to love her. A photographer herself, we could have talked for hours. She and Matt planned their wedding from Colorado and we didn’t actually meet until their wedding day. This brunch wedding was exactly as she described. With antique table settings from The Vintage Plate Company, a pink and navy color scheme and home made cookies at each table, this wedding was a perfect blend of vintage and intimate brunch with a lovely celebration. Good friends and family were all in attendance to watch these two glowing in love and say, “I do.” There were many Do-it-yourself details including the bouquets! These gorgeous sola flowers were hand painted by Donya herself.
It’s pretty clear, I love the genuine moments that happen right after a wedding ceremony.
It was so awesome to work with Donya and Matt. I can’t wait to let her know the next time we’ll be in Colorado as we go there each year for our ski addiction. Congratulations!
Sincerely, Heather Brulez
