Megan and Josh had been praying for a beautiful Fall wedding day for over a year. Their prayers were answered when they woke up on the day of their wedding and stepped outside to perfect fall weather. Megan had always wanted a Fall wedding and it turned out exactly as she had dreamed. The Fall trees were on point!
This beautiful Fall wedding could not have happened without the proposal. Josh had never given Megan flowers during their entire relationship. He would always say they are for married couples and they just die anyway. He knew he was going to propose months in advance but wanted it to be a surprise. Christmas came and went, Valentine’s Day passed, Megans’ birthday went by and still no proposal. Finally, on March 31, 2018, Josh filled their entire home with 15 flower arrangements. When they returned from brunch with family, Megan opened the door and was surprised with flowers everywhere! Josh guided Megan to the living room and got down on one knee to pop the question right there. Megan, of course, said yes! They went around to every flower arrangement and each one had a tag that wrote out all of the “firsts” they’ve had together. That night they celebrated, just the two of them, with a romantic dinner at Gas Light Grill. Talk about a perfect proposal!
The rustic style of the Timber Creek Event Center inspired them from the beginning of their wedding planning. The recent remodel and stonework was the perfect backdrop. Every detail was well thought and lovely. They decorated the same way they would their own home and their guests felt relaxed and welcome. They knew early on that burgundy (Megan’s favorite!) would be one of the main colors they used, from the bridesmaid dresses and flowers from Wild Hill flowers, they had a warm and inviting Fall color palette.
Seeing each other for the first time on your wedding day is such a special moment, for Josh and Megan it was one of their favorites of the day. Megan will cherish the special moments with her dad right before walking down the aisle (cue the tears). For Josh, it was the moment he turned around to see Megan because at that moment he finally felt comfort knowing she would be in his arms soon.
Megan and Josh’s wedding day was a dream; from waking up to the beautiful Fall day and that dreamy feeling lasted until dancing alone in the reception hall after all of their friends and family had gone home.
Megan and Josh read their own vows during the wedding ceremony and were written inside these keepsake vow books.
Megan was able to share a moment with all the special men in her life before doing a blind first look with her soon-to-be husand with a pre-wedding prayer.
