As soon as Melissa said food trucks for dinner at her farm wedding I was instantly her best friend. Especially since it was the taco food truck, Estrella Azul. If I could only eat one type of food for the rest of my life, I would hands down choose Mexican food. In fact, I practically invested in Chipotle when I was pregnant. They followed up with dessert from Betty Rae’s Ice Cream. It didn’t disappoint. I talk about food as much as some people discuss the weather. But this was an amazing Summer farm wedding combo!
It was a gorgeous day too. Not too hot, a little breeze and some fluffy clouds. A perfect outdoor ceremony at Weston Red Barn Farm. I love the red barn and it’s rustic charm. Farm charm. I love that it’s nestled in with farm animals. The ceremony space overlooks the Missouri hills and appears more like a winery. I love that this barn is in the middle of the apple trees. We never have to go far for portrait locations in this setting.
These Kate Spade wedding shoes are the best way to walk around a farm wedding. They’re delightful and comfortable! All of Melissa’s details were well thought out. She was prepared to have so much fun on her wedding day. The flowers, from Wild Hill Flowers, were everywhere from the ceremony chairs to Melissa’s updo. It smelled amazing. Right out of a garden.
Melissa and Justin exchanged letters during their first look. It was sweet and genuine. They simply adore each other and work so well together.
Guests were able to enjoy this beautiful farm wedding ceremony on the hill with acoustic guitarist, Jim Lammers with Guitar Elegance. Even their pup was there to witness the vows! Melissa and Justin were lucky enough to have a friend transport their dog to the wedding ceremony and back home. The Apple trees are perfect backdrop to this outdoor farm wedding ceremony space.
I’ve never met the goat before Melissa and Justin’s wedding day but he was sure to introduce himself. And, he’s so cute! In fact, he greeted all the guests and they loved it.
They had a couple signature cocktails set up at the bar by Cordial Craft but we quickly got the feeling Coors Light was Justins true signature cocktail. The Wild Hill Flowers coordinators did an amazing job setting up the reception space and cocktail hour. Melissa and Justin gave local honey and jams to guests for local farm wedding favors.
Cordial Craft knows how to set up a bar space and keep guests refreshed throughout the night. With plenty of drink garnish, you could customize your cocktail any way you wanted.
It was such a joy to photograph this wedding day. Melissa and Justin were so easy to be with on their wedding day. Simply kind and good people. They hired a stellar team to put on their day and enjoyed the rest.
