Shortly after meeting Samantha, we realized we’re from the same Central Illinois area and it’s far and few between that I meet my people in Kansas. Of course, she’s fabulous for so many reasons but I love that we have common roots! And she chose a perfect match, Austin, on Bumble. Sam is a Kansas University graduate and Austin, a Kansas State graduate. But together they’re going to have to cheer for both because they’re getting married next Spring.
Austin planned his proposal to be both intimate and celebratory. First, he had photos of the two of them, rose petals and candles set up in Sams parents condo on the Plaza. He got down on one knee in the middle of the room to ask Sam to marry him and we’re here now because she said yes. But after, Austin had both families waiting at the Oliver (where they had their first date) for dinner. Then he also had a surprise party with their friends after dinner. I imagine it was a joyful night of showing off the gorgeous bling.
