Neighborhood Spotlight: Cedar Creek

Cedar Creek is a beautiful residential neighborhood located in the city of Olathe, Kansas, just Southwest of K10 and K7.  This neighborhood is known for its well manicured lawns, beautiful homes and a strong sense of community spirit.  What began in 1989 as a 5,000 acre mixed-use real estate development is still one of Kansas City’s finest and most talked about communities.

There are currently 40 homes for sale in Cedar Creek, ranging from $575,000 up to $2.75 Million.  Another 25 homes are under contract and 10 homes have sold in the last 30 days.

Cedar Creek is in the Olathe school district with Cedar Creek Elementary, Mission Trail Middle School and Olathe West High School. There is also plenty of private school opportunities nearby including St. Thomas Aquinas and St. James Academy high schools.

Cedar Creek is a neighborhood that provides an abundance of amenities for the residents including a 65-acre stocked lake, Shadow Lake, complete with a dock and boat ramp for those who love to fish or kayak.  There is also an award-winning golf course, Shadow Glen, with a full service club house.  The Recreation Center has an indoor basketball court, workout facility, outdoor sand volleyball court and four tennis courts on property.  Residents have two salt water pools to choose from during the Summer months.

Cedar Creek is committed to preserving the natural beauty of the area with hundreds of acres left untouched and parks and trails available for all to enjoy.

Although Cedar Creek can feel serene and peaceful, it is still nearby to several businesses, including Tall Trellis Brew Co., which sits at the entrance of the neighborhood near Cedar Creek Parkway and K10.  Believe it or not, this building used to be a gas station.  It has been beautifully renovated with a stylish and friendly atmosphere and features local brews, cocktails, a specialized menu and the occasional food truck or live music on weekends.  You can sit on the patio and surround yourself with suspended, growing hops.

Cedar Creek is also close to Johnson County’s top parks, shopping and nightlife with easy highway access, making everything just minutes away.

Whether you’re looking for a place to raise your family or a peaceful retreat to call home, Cedar Creek is an excellent choice.
